我常吃大陸妹跟我常吃大陸 妹是不一樣的。
大陸妹是一種不結球的嫩葉萵苣，正名為「福山萵苣」，是從中國引進的品種，又可稱「大陸A菜」。因為台語與俗稱「萵仔菜」（e-á-tshài）的臺灣萵苣相近，早期臺灣農民稱之為「大陸萵仔菜」（tāi-lio̍k-e-á-tshài），或省略為「大陸萵」（tāi-lio̍k-e)，後來普遍才被誤稱為「大陸妹」（tāi-lio̍k-bē)。
