強欲之壺 是遊戲王中耳熟能詳的卡片之一，無論是在動漫里還是現實中都是人人皆知的實用卡片。首次登場於決鬥城市編王樣的首戰和表馬利克控制的人偶相決鬥，簡單來說只是為了增強「奧西里斯之天空龍」的攻擊力。在後來的動畫遊戲王GX中，更是頻繁出現的卡牌，每次主角使用它都有種「翻盤」的節奏，「強欲之壺」就是一張「耍流氓」的卡牌，在2006年以前還沒有成為禁卡的時候，幾乎是小夥伴卡組必備的卡牌之一
