前幾年有個虛擬機開發商Corellium 開發了iOS模擬器，遭到蘋果全力阻止，Corellium 被蘋果控告非法銷售 iPhone 和 iPad 虛擬作業系統，並要求法院停止該間公司侵權行為。
iOS也不開源，沒有模擬器也蠻正常的 -
