《死亡之島：激流》接續著《死亡之島》的故事，主角一行人來到了另一座島嶼 Banoi，必須要在更加可怕的殭屍危機中生存下來，拿起武器在開放世界中獨自 1 人或是和朋友一起打爆殭屍的頭。而《死亡之島：激流 決定版》則是 2016 年推出包含所有 DLC、並且針對遊戲模型、光影等進行強化。
