2021-22赛季，波普场均可以得到13.2分3.4篮板，三分命中率高达39%，他的加入使得掘金的首发阵容更加均衡合理。
波普出色的无球以及防守能力完美适配约老师。加上下赛季回归的贾马尔-穆雷与迈克尔-波特，掘金将拥有一套以穆雷（191）、波普（196）、波特（208）、戈登（203）和约基奇（211）为构架的主力阵容。这套阵容无论从年龄结构、尺寸还是攻防适配性而言，都是非常出色的。
